Evening prior to departure: We meet in Lewiston, Idaho, or Asotin, Washington. After meeting, we will leave your vehicle near the take-out point for the trip and travel together into the Grande Ronde canyon where we will enjoy a relaxing evening in rustic riverside cabins.
Typical Day: Each day begins at first light with gourmet coffee and a hot breakfast as we prepare for a full day of fishing. After a brief safety orientation and some instruction, we'll launch and begin to drift downstream fishing the clear waters of the Grande Ronde River. We fish two anglers per drift boat so we'll move through the canyon at your own pace as you enjoy the exceptional fishing and beautiful scenery and solitude of this remote canyon. Each day includes a pre-packed lunch and beverages.
Evening of Day 1: After a great full day of fishing, we return to our cabins in the early evening where you enjoy a gourmet meal prepared by our guides including appetizers, delicious entrees and homemade desserts.
Evening of Day 2: After our second full day on the river, we will arrive to our deluxe river camp, set on the banks of the Grande Ronde. Camp is already set up with private guest tents, and a large mess tarp for escaping any wet weather. We’ll enjoy another delicious meal with fresh-baked breads and dessert and settle down to a warm fire to take the chill out of the evening.
Final Day 3: We’ll continue downstream drift fishing. As we descend the river and approach the warmer waters of the Snake River, we will find the smallmouth bass fishing continuously improves. At around 2pm, we arrive to the confluence of the Snake River and Grande Rivers where our journey ends. A short drive back to Asotin or Lewiston will bring us back to where your vehicle awaits.
