GALAPAGOS ISLANDS NATURALIST ADVENTURE

Itinerary:

Each tour and each vessel is a little different. While the specific itinerary (which days, which islands) varies by vessel and time of year, below you will find a general day-by-day itinerary that holds true for all trips. Once you have a particular vessel in mind, let us know and we can provide the detailed itinerary for that vessel.

Day 1: Arrive at the airport in Quito, Ecuador. Transportation is provided to the Swisshotel. (Arrangements can be made for you to arrive in Guayaquil if you prefer, or at alternate hotels in Quito).

Day 2: Following an early breakfast, we are transported to the airport for our flight to the Galápagos Islands, stopping briefly in the coastal city of Guayaquil en route. The turquoise blue water surrounding the coast is visible from the air, and it’s not long after passing through Park Inspection that we cross from shore to reach our yacht and home for the next week. While settling into our cabin and surroundings, we meet our guide and crew, and then set out on our first landing. (B, L, D … accommodations on board the yacht)

Days 3-8: Living aboard our yacht for the next six days will be among the most memorable of our lives as we cruise the Galápagos Islands, visiting many of the same places Darwin did more than 150 years ago. We will make daily landings on such fabled islands as Isabela, Bartolome, Santa Cruz, and Española. Opportunities abound to snorkel and sea kayak in clear waters and to explore the islands by foot. Our naturalist guides lead us on wildlife encounters only possible in this amazing archipelago. (B, L, D ... accommodations on board the yacht)

Day 9: After a final morning visit to a landing site, our cruise comes to an end and we return to port for the return flight from the Galápagos to Quito. (B, L, D ... hotel accommodations in Quito)

Day 10: Transportation is provided to the airport for our flights home. (B)
