Highlights:
Rugged, ominous peaks. Pristine alpine lakes. Aabundant wildflowers. Peaceful serenity. It is difficult to find words to describe the splendor and majesty of the Seven Devils Wilderness Area. Summits rise higher than 9,000 feet above sea level and hold sinister names like the Ogre, Tower of Babel, Twin Imps, and Devil’s Throne. Lakes stand deep and cold, reflecting the colorful meadows and sheer rock walls.
Several days of exhilarating trekking await, and the difficulty of the hike is up to you. We can circumnavigate the Devils on the Wilderness Loop Trail, or explore some of the many alpine lakes thriving with trout. For the particularly adventurous, we can climb several of the Devils peaks themselves. Each evening we will settle in amongst the peaks and alongside the lakes for a mouth-watering meal and stunning views of Idaho’s brilliant sky.
We'll rest our weary feet for the second half of the adventure, as we paddle the famous whitewater of the Snake River in Hells Canyon. Class III-IV whitewater, great bass fishing, stunning scenery and wildlife combine to make this a journey of a lifetime.
