You have several options. We can flash freeze your fish whole (if you are spending the night after your fishing trip) and you can take it with you when you depart. For a nominal fee, we can filet, vacuum pack and freeze your fish overnight at the lodge before you depart. If you are flying home, you could travel with a small cooler (40 quarts works well). While you cannot pack ice in checked luggage, we can pack your fish in ice for the drive to the airport, removing the ice before checking the cooler. The fish should stay frozen during your trip home. Alternatively, you can leave your fish with us to vacuum seal, freeze and overnight ship to your home.
If you are on one of our multi-day wilderness fishing trips, we recommend eating fish you catch during the first day or two of your trip while on the river, as the meat may not keep very well on ice in a cooler for 4-5 days.
