Baja California has essentially two seasons – very hot and calm in summer, and mild and windy in winter. Conditions for touring are best from fall through spring, with temperatures varying throughout the winter months. Mid-winter daytime temperatures average in the 70-80’s but can sometimes fall into the 40’s at night along the coast. Rain, though infrequent, is quite possible and best planned for by bringing recommended gear. If you plan a trip to the highlands, expect temperatures to be a little cooler than on the coast.
As everywhere in the outdoors, weather conditions may alter a trip itinerary. Trip lengths are designed to allow for windy days, using the time for visiting local ranches, hiking, and relaxing.
