It is generally accepted that public drinking water in the major towns and cities in Costa rica is safe to drink, as the country has an advanced water purification system. In smaller towns or remote areas, purified water or water bottles are recommended. All of the hotels we stay at in Costa Rica provide purified water. While camping, kayaking or rafting, we will provide safe purified and/or bottled water for consumption.
