Summer '09 Interns - Two dudes from the Adirondacks
Eamon and Steve, two rad dudes from the Adirondacks, there was nothing these guys couldn't or wouldn't do. Led by their fearless leader, Chris Johnson, the boys celebrated the 4th of July by shredding the slopes of the Seven Devils. Not good enough? Geared up in wetsuits, the interns luged into the Seven Devils' ponds from their double ducky. As for rafting? They conquered it (well - sort of). Bobbing and weaving through the rapids like it was flat water, Eamon guided his own boat down the Lower Salmon on one of NWV's multi-day trips. While Steve accompanied the Illinois alumni trip by running his small gear boat down the Snake under the watchful eye of Arnie.
Whether it was Eamon canoeing the Salmon or Steve insisting on running the Little Salmon (which they did), these guys did it all. From trips into town for a 'Tight Squeeze' with Arnie, or late nights figuring out a rogue till report, Eamon and Steve had a great Idaho experience.
These guys had an awesome summer and a very worthwhile experience. The days of hanging on the trailer porch Heather, Jefe, Seth, George, Jesse, and White-Hoppe will truly be missed. As will those trips up to McCall to see the Nachmans and Mel. Hopefully one day, they'll both be back in Idaho running Ruby at 90,000 cfs. Until then, to everyone who made our time in Idaho unforgetable, thank you.
