Tom Campbell - River Guide & Yoga Master

Tom has spent the past few decades avoiding a real jobs in search of the finest adventures and whitewater the planet has to offer. From California to West Virginia, from Central America to Idaho, the Rooster has left his mark on towns small and large! As a true Virginian, Tom uses any excuse he can to leave his state and country. Tom spent years crusing the open seas on ships, where he came closest to having a real job! Realizing it was a lot more fun rowing a boat and getting wet, he hung up his spiffy white uniform and donned his shorts and chaco's and hit the closest river for a splash! Over the years, Tom has chaulked up an impressive list of rivers to his name and once the summer seasons come to an end, he spends the rest of the year on adventures across the globe. Tom is a laid back character who is rarely ruffled even in the most challenging situations. Tom's next great adventure will be in Africa, where he is headed up Kilimanjaro then down the fabled Nile in Uganda, after which he will spend a few months getting a whitewater education on the mightly Zambezi... African style! Tom inspires confidence in all who travel with him and is a favourite with our female guests, not for his looks, but for the fantastic desserts he can make in a dutch oven! Tom's great humour and mellow personality underlie his great experience and ability as one of our excellent trip leaders.
