Arnie Chandola - Rafting Guide

Arnie was born in India and started guiding professionally in 1993. He migrated to the US soon after. Based in the green rolling hills just north of Pittsburgh, he is always looking for an excuse to get on a river, regardless of location. While he may not have been chosen for his good looks, Arnie is a truly talented river professional of the highest order, who is "living his dreams" and sharing that philosophy with all who join him on trips.

Arnie has a stellar river resume and impressive descents on world-class rivers. He has guided rivers in Idaho, Montana, Colorado, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Turkey, Austria, Nepal and India. Arnie also had a brief stint in the corporate world as a project and sales manager, a talent that can come in handy during river rescue situations and negotiating safe passage for his expedition clients in politically sensitive areas of Asia! An extremely competent organizer, Arnie will make sure all the details for your river adventure are complete.

Arnie just turned 30, and even though he thinks he is getting fat, gray hair and receding hairline, his river & people skills are still world class! After tens of thousands of river miles, 12 years on the run from river to river, he continues to chase whitewater around the world as he looks for a “real” job.
